Thought your readers may be interested in something that happened to me 20 years ago and which I have never been able to explain. It was on the evening of my birthday and I was getting ready to go out with my husband. I was upstairs and he was in the lounge watching TV. The house we lived in was quite new and we knew nothing then or since about anything strange happening at the house. If you can picture - walking down the stair case, the front door was just over to the left and the hallway running alongside the stairs.
As I started walking down the stairs I saw a boy of probably around 10-12 yrs old. From where I was standing I really only saw the top of his head but I guessed from the height, he was that age. There was no ghostly apparition, just a normal boy. As I descended the stairs he kept walking along the hallway so I eventually lost sight of him due to the solid banister. The hallway lead into the kitchen, off to the left was the utility room and to the right, the lounge.
I checked in all the rooms but he was nowhere to be seen. I asked hubby but he had heard or seen nothing. A couple of days later, I had a dream - well I think it was a dream because I felt that I was awake (if that makes sense). I was laying in bed and could see everything in the room. I could hear children playing outside on the street, everything seemed normal except for this overwhelming tiredness I felt. So tired in fact that I couldn't move.
At that point a boy ran into my room crying and asking for my help as some other children were hitting him. Because of my 'tiredness', the only answer I could give him was to go back out there and fight them back and don't be scared of them. He left the room and that was the last I ever saw of him. I have never forgotten this experience partly because I'm not sure I did the right thing. Did he leave because I failed to help him, or did I help him to stand up for himself and he moved on?. Did I just dream he came to ask for help or did it actually happen - I don't know.
