Stories - Haunted Public House

I know of a Public House in the South-West of England that is haunted by three ghosts. The Pub is in a small town near to Taunton, right down in the West Country of England and is owned by my Uncle, Aunt, Cousin and Cousin-in-Law. This has been confirmed by myself, other members of my family and the previous owners of the Public House. The three ghosts are as follows:

1) The first Ghost is a young child, possibly around the age of 5-6 years old. My cousin-in-law, who owns and runs the Pub with his wife, has heard crying and presumed it to be one of his children. When he checked his two girls, they were both fast asleep. He ignored this incident until it happened again and then mentioned it to his wife. She told him that it had happened to her a number of times and she was trying to ignore it! (My cousin-in-law thanked her for not telling him!)

2) The second Ghost has only made him/herself known to my family a few times. Myself and my cousin-in-law have been "doing the rounds" at the end of a night to ensure everything is locked up. We then returned upstairs to watch the rest of the football (soccer) highlights. When this had ended, my cousin-in-law had to let me out of the building and the easiest way to do this is through the front door. We entered the pitch-black bar room and heard one of the most common place sounds of the Pub.

When the floor behind the bar gets wet with beer, your shoes will stick to the floor and when you walk the sound is much like the peeling of Sticky-Tape from a hard surface. Both myself and my cousin-in-law heard this sound and turned and ran straight back up the stairs! After five minutes of calm reflection, we realized that someone could be downstairs attempting to rob the Pub so we went to check the Security Cameras. Fortunately the monitor for these is also upstairs. We checked the cameras - they showed no movement downstairs and so we re-wound the tape to when we were downstairs.

This showed us entering the bar and then leaving much quicker than we had arrived, but NO movement behind the bar. Finally, armed with a pool cue and my cousin-in-law's dog, we re-entered the bar room and I made a hasty exit out of the front door. My cousin now enters the bar and waits to see if he can hear anything. If he can, he waits for it to stop. If not, then he carries on locking up.

3) The third Ghost to haunt this Pub is much easier to handle. At random times during the day and night, violin music can be heard to be coming from one of the rooms upstairs from the bar. It is said but not confirmed that the Ghost plays the violin but that it can not be heard in the bar, only by anybody upstairs. It also "allegedly" took the light bulb from the room, but the way my cousin smirks when this story is retold makes me believe that he had more to do with that than he lets on.
