Stories - Eleanor's Ghost

Our last house in uptown Amherst is truly a breeding ground for the restless. We lived there for 12 years; my father who does not believe in spirits made us stay. Story has it that our house was the first funeral home in Amherst. It was owned by Eleanor Zilch. Eleanor's husband died at an early age, leaving her and her two sons all alone.

As her sons reached manhood, I guess they were in need of money really bad. They killed their mother in the basement of our home. Now she is at unrest because of her untimely death, and her two sons, who killed themselves when they could not find the money, are at unrest as well. We have seen these ghosts a million times. We no longer have this house, but over the years we have noticed that no one stays there too long.
