Chuck Wakely is an American pilot who, in 1964, reported an unexplained in-flight phenomenon.
Wakely flew a charter airplane in November 1964 from Nassau, Bahamas en route to Florida. Flying over the Bermuda Triangle at about 2000 meters, he claimed that the plane became surrounded by a mysterious light. The light became blinding and all onboard electronic equipment ceased to function. After a while, the light disappeared and the electronics resumed normal functioning.
