A four year old news story comes up again

0
Nearly four years ago the so-called Montauk Monster washed up on the shores of New York, but just last week a dead dog washed up on the shores of San Diego, California and some are claiming it is the same thing. I honestly feel sort of silly covering this, because even at face value the two corpses found are clearly two different things. ...

New underwater animals found in Indian ocean

0
London: Scientists have captured remarkable images of life from one of the most inhospitable spots in the ocean, volcanic underwater vents, sometimes called black smokers. The UK researchers, who have been surveying the area in the South West Indian Ridge in the Indian Ocean, found an array of creatures living in the super-heated waters, including yeti crabs, scaly-foot snails and sea cucumbers. They believe some of the species may be new to science. Click the source link above to read more. ...

The hunt for Mokele-mbembe is on again

0
Most of us have heard of the Loch Ness Monster of Scotland, but how many have heard of Mokele-mbembe? Well it might give some credence to the sightings in Scotland, because Mokele-mbembe is a creature said to live in the remote areas north of Congo-Brazzaville. The descriptions are eerily similar, so researching keep trying to find Mokele-mbembe, but with minimal success. See linked news article for more information about a recent hunt. ...

International Cryptozoology Museum opens

0
Cryptozoology is the study of animals unverified mystical creatures which only rumors of its existence in the legend or belief, as the Yeti or the Loch Ness Monster. Loren Coleman created a museum that amasses a collection of "assumed" specimens, relics and artifacts that tell of unexplained creatures, including the coelacanth-size and the Fiji Mermaid from PT Barnum, and a large number of samples of hair, feces and footprints of animals that probably never set foot in the face of the earth. Do not miss: A "Crookston Bigfoot" 2.5 meters tall and 130 pounds, is probably the only chance to see this legendary creature with your own eyes. International Cryptozoology Museum 11 Avon St. Portlan ...

Yeti finger found to actually be human

0
The mystery of a yeti finger taken from Nepal half a century ago has been solved. The remains have been kept in the Royal College of Surgeons museum in London since the 1950s. A DNA sample - a set of numbers that helps reveal somebody's true origins was taken and analysed by Edinburgh Zoo's genetic expert Dr Rob Ogden. The DNA tests found it to be human bone. The yeti, also known as the Abominable Snowman, is a legendary giant ape-like creature said to inhabit the Himalayan region of Nepal and Tibet. Despite the lack of evidence of its existence, the yeti myth has been popular in both Nepal and the west. The Yeti even featured in the classic series of Doctor Who in the 1960s. The finge ...

Bigfoot spotted in mountains of West Virginia

0
For decades its existence has been debated, thorough searches have found no conclusive evidence, but a pair of Tipp City women reportedly have the definite answer as they claim to have seen...Bigfoot. Terri Bessler and Crystal Krieger were driving through West Virginia when in the clear of day they spotted the behemoth mythical figure. It was walking up a truck ramp, off of the highway, up into the wooded mountains. "It was huge, there is no way it was a person," said Bessler, owner of Midwest Memories. The figure was a solid shade of black, and showed no definition of any clothing lines. Krieger is in agreement that the ever elusive Bigfoot was seen. "If it was a real person, it was the b ...

Company shows 'cloned baby'

0
A company claiming to have created the world's first cloned babies has distributed a photograph of one of the "clones" for the first time. lonaid said a picture of an infant in an incubator published on its website showed the third of five babies supposedly cloned since December. Many scientists have dismissed Clonaid's claim that any babies were ever cloned at all, pointing to the absence of DNA proof. But the company, which is linked to a sect maintaining that humans were created by aliens, insists the picture shows "the third clone baby", allegedly born in Japan. Its president, Brigitte Boisselier, handed out copies of the photograph on Monday on a visit ...

Word is made flesh as God reveals himself... as a fish

0
An obscure Jewish sect in New York has been gripped in awe by what it believes to be a mystical visitation by a 20lb carp that was heard shouting in Hebrew, in what many Jews worldwide are hailing as a modern miracle. Many of the 7,000-member Skver sect of Hasidim in New Square, 30 miles north of Manhattan, believe God has revealed himself in fish form. According to two fish-cutters at the New Square Fish Market, the carp was about to be slaughtered and made into gefilte fish for Sabbath dinner when it suddenly began shouting apocalyptic warnings in Hebrew. Many believe the carp was channelling the troubled soul of a revered community elder who recently died; others say it was God. The on ...

Experts hunt Quebec's caribou-eating shark

0
Quebec -- The giant shark goes by the name Sleeper but kills large caribou after lying in wait -- crocodile-style -- at the mouth of Canada's northern rivers. Canadian researchers are now trying to unravel the mysteries surrounding the great northern Greenland shark after at least four of them were discovered in the St. Lawrence River near Baie-Comeau, Que. "We've got so many things through these dives and this footage that we didn't have a clue about before," said Jeffrey Gallant, a shark researcher who went diving in June with at least four Greenland sharks. "We've been working on this shark for years and it's extremely exciting to be learning so ...

Mystery eggs found in Berlin

0
BERLIN -- It appears Primo D'Agata of 44 Berldale Ave. received a rare and special -- albeit mysterious -- gift on his porch from what was Hurricane Isabel Friday. About 10 a.m. he was sitting on his porch reading a newspaper when he heard a sudden burst. "I thought it was hail and I said to my wife, 'Ginger, it's hailing,'" he said. "I went back to reading my paper and then I saw the things were still there and were not melting. I went out and saw hundred of these white things." The 'things' appeared to be eggs of some sort, the size of a pearl, he said. "They are white with what looks like eyes in the middle. They looked like sala ...
